The two most important things to consider when buying a baby swing is if the seat reclines and if the swing goes back and forth and side to side too. It’s good to know the Fisher Price swing weight limit so that you know your baby is not too heavy to use it before you buy it.

This baby swing covers both of these aspects, the swing can move side to side or back and forth, so your baby has the best of both worlds. The seat will also recline into a few different positions, the baby doesn’t have to be sat upright all the time.

The seat itself is really well padded out, this is important too. Our test baby found it very comfortable to sit in and fell asleep in the swing after just a few minutes use.

The swing can operate at 6 different speeds, our baby loves the fastest option, it really clams him down even when really well worked up.

If you have a troublesome baby then this baby swing will change your life, getting a troublesome baby to calm down is so easy with swing like this. The over head toys and 16 in build sounds and music attracts babies attention and stops them crying. It is know to be the best colic baby swing. A baby swing with lights and music is also a good option, anything to grab a babies attention like that calms them down fast.

This particular baby swing comes with really well padded head supports too, making it okay for newborn babies to use.

The swing does not fold down, however it takes up very little floor space compared to others on the market.

It operates from an ac adaptor, this ensures running costs are kept at a minimum, many swings need batteries and it can be costly.

You can read more about the swing here at the Fisher Price website.

If you are looking for a foldable baby swing then this one is not an option.

If you are on a tight budget then this is the side by side operating baby swing for you. This one is available to buy for under $60, which is a real bargain.

You can turn the seat around so that the baby can swing either side by side or head to toes. This is our second choice because of price, it’s very affordable.

It has a very deep seat that is well padded and very comfortable, however it does not recline. So, if you have a baby that suffers from colic or reflux do not go for this one.

On a positive side the swing can be powered by batteries and an ac adaptor, making it good for taking outside in the summer when there is no ac adaptor available.

The swing is fairly compact too, it’s not the smallest on the market, but will be okay for most homes out there.

This one not only swing side to side, it also vibrates and that can be done at two different speeds. A vibrating baby swing really helps babies that suffer from reflux.

It has a good head support so can be used by new born babies. It’s a good swing for babies of all ages, perfect for little ones right up to 1 years old plus.

This swing does not have a shut off feature (timer) so you will have to turn it off yourself when baby has finished.

Another bad point is the operating noise, it’s not a quiet swing and many have complained about it squeaking, although this was not the case for us during out tests.

However, if you play the music that is built in or have the TV on this will be louder than the swing operating noises.

This swing worked really well at getting our little one to sleep, takes around 20 to 30 minutes each time. Really calms baby down when worked up, even better than taking the baby in the car.

Graco is a trusted brand in the baby niche, if you have any problems they will fix and replace for you. You can read more about this swing over at the Graco website here.
